UR-008OLD THE VISION “GYROSCOPIC” 12EP
$20.00
Introduced to Underground Resistance by Mike Clark (Agent X), Robert Hood was a determined rapper from Detroit’s notorious 7 Mile and Evergreen area. Mike and Jeff had worked with Rob, the now deceased M.C. Lo, Yolanda and others previously on an album released on Shockwave Records called “You Gotta Move to the Hype Stuff.”
Rob’s skill, rhythm, and delivery impressed Mike and Jeff and they all wanted to explore the possibilities of Detroit Techno meeting head on with Detroit rap, thus “Gyroscopic” evolved and Rob took on the title as The Vision. Rob’s revolutionary approach of using voice altering technology as well as his hard hitting urban truth lyrics made him not only a permanent member of U.R. He is one of the rare members to achieve the honorary lifetime member status due to his many world tours with U.R. and specifically for his daring raids in the early 90’s into the bunkers of Berlin as the onstage minister of electronic righteousness and his sonic participation in the legendary afrofuturism of X-101 project of U.R. He was and still is the first graduate from the boot camp called U.R. His career beyond U.R. speaks for itself, as MPlant was born. Introducing The Vision, Mr. Robert Hood
